This is an interesting pheromone molecule. We often call it the “youthful molecule”. With age your androstenol production decreases. Higher testosterone individuals tend to product more androstenol as oppoed to those will lower T-levels.

In pheromone community we look into alpha androstenol and beta androstenol. Both of those have different effects while the majority of studies done on Androstenol are for alpha androstenol (5a-androst-16-en-3a-ol), that’s worth keeping in mind.

In a general sense it’s like this:

A-NOL: Chatty, approachable, friendly, disinhibiting

B-NOL: Deep emotional opening, “confession”, intimacy, introspection

Alpha Androstenol

This is a classic marketed androstenol. It has a chatty social vibe. You’re perceived as more approachable and it’s known to be the perfect ice breaker pheromone. A too high a dosage can reduce aggression , increasing the feeling of weakness and submission.

It is said to help build romance, friendships, and good business relationships

Beta Androstenol

This one is more interesting in my opinion. You’ll get more emotional responses from women while wearing this and it may even kind act like a truth serum, people seem to wanna open up to you more when you have this.
