This is one of those posts for those random people who end up on the my website for some reason and believe in the power of perfumes by themselves. Let me put it bluntly. No, regular perfume scents by themselves (with the exception of animalic notes and some creepy unnatural molecules). Those do not by themselves generate attraction for you.

They just don’t. Why would a sandalwood or orange smell get a girl turned on? That’s a rhetorical question. It doesn’t, and most of the garbage in modern day perfumes doesn’t do shit.

Let’s discuss this. And we’ll talk about pheromones at the end.

Most Perfumes (used to be) Mainly Essential Oils

Yeah, before advanced chemistry and had synthetic molecules we mainly used plant oils, resins, gums, and balms to get extracted scents . Those, while they didn’t have a pheromone raw attraction effects. They did have mood altering properties as well as immune boosting effects

To give you some examples:

• Lavender scent was used for sleep aid and a calming effect
• Bergamot, and ylang-ylang had anxiety reduction effects (was shown in studies also)
• Citrus oils ( such as orange and lemon) create mood elevation
• Tea tree, eucalyptus and oregano were known to have antimicrobial/antiviral properties to boost immunity.
• Rosemary and peppermint were known for sharpening the mind (Rosemary was treasured in ancient Greece)

So at least you had something to work with. While not having raw attraction those things could still create a calming environment for people around you to feel good.

Scents Are Imprinted From Childhood

Did you ever have that feeling when you suddenly smell the smell after a rain and you feel nostalgic about something? Or maybe suddenly you feel some feeling inside you when you smell it?

Yeah, that’s a thing. Our brain remembers scents very well. And the feelings that were linked to the moments smelling that scent.

So here for example a lot of people associate citrus scents with a summer happy vibe. It goes in tandem with the mood elevation properties of the scent.

If a girl had her first crush wear a certain perfume, chances are smelling that smell again will ignite certain feelings within her.

Animalic Notes

Animalic notes/scents come from animals secretions/glands. They often mimic a human-like/pheromone scent. In small quantities added to a perfume blend they create a sort of sexy feeling.

Most notable ones are

• Musk — Real musk comes from the deer’s gland, although now it’s very restricted to get your hands on the real thing.Musk smells warm with a touch of animalic-sweet.
• Civet — This one comes from civet cat’s perineal gland. In raw form it has a very sharp-smelling tone, but diluted, it gives a velvety, sexy warmth.
• Castoreum — from beaver glands. This one has a leathery/smoky-animalic scent.
• Ambergris —Whale sperm aged in the ocean. Smells marine, sweet, tobacco-like. Real ambergris is rare and expensive.
• Hyraceum — fossilized rock hyrax urine/feces, used in niche natural perfumery. Smells like tobacco/leather/animal musk.

You can google for yourself if you wanna know more about it. Point is those can actually aid attraction.

The Age Of Synthetic Molecules

At some point people found cheaper ways to mimic scents. So now you can have an “orange essential oil” and an “orange scent molecule” the latter is cheaper but has 0% of the health benefits the real thing has. And the memory recall effects are much weaker.

Most perfumes today, even the expensive ones are made mostly out of synthetic molecules. Sure you may think you smell good, but other than covering your body scent the effects are minimal.

The more expensive the perfume is the more likely it’ll contain SOME essential oils / natural ingredients. But be aware, they were designed to mimic the scent and not to mimic the health effects or the effects on others.

Even the anamalic scents were mimiced in labs, they were mimiced in terms of scent, not always by effect. Needless to say the effects were much less appealing than the real thing.

Use Pheromone Perfumes

Basically, don’t use perfumes if you’re goal is to attract. Maybe only use them as a cover scent for unscented pheromone perfumes. Use battle tested pheromone perfumes and molecules.

We use molecules and plant extracts that actually have some effects. Those things do create a recreation from women. You’ll see more girls eye balling you, maybe some more girls stand near you. That one girl who was avoiding you suddenly becomes nice. It’s all there.
